after a one year gestation period, as well as an extended labor, i am finally happy to announce the birth of my latest book: escape from paradise.. cigars all around!

i have just finished reading brock talons second book (see above).
well worth the read.
terribly honest and humbling to read.
Kairos, Interesting idea (using mysterious Kingdom Melodie music), but I don't know if I have the musical chops to pull that one off.
Juan Viejo2, Thanks for the feedback. If I ever did do a voice-over, I could probably use one of my good friends for that because he has an awesome deep voice and actually does voice-overs professionally (as a side income).
Awake at last, You are so welcome. Even though I do have a "style" (of sorts), I tried very hard to have the second book stand on its own and to have a different tone. I was thinking the same as you, that is, that "Escape from Paradise" might be one that more people can relate to, perhaps even the non-JW. Hopefully even the non-JW.

Simon,
Thanks for the book link reference, much appreciated.
You are a good parent by the way because you told them not to tell the other, as well as saying it to them both. You wanted them each to feel special... and so they are. That's why they laughed when they found out, because it's a neat trick.

While I'm at it, I'm curious as to what anyone might think of the book promo. Is it cool, or eerie, or what?

Zeb - For your kind support, I thank you again. I'm the one that's humbled.
BlackFalcon98 - I was kind of hoping someone would say that I had improved in my art of writing. I was actually going for that.
That said, the two books are like my children, so I'm not allowed to like one more than the other...

there are many things wrong with the world, many injustices and crimes committed.
what if we could stop one of them?
wouldn't it make the world a slightly better place?
MissFit,
Awww, go ahead and use ellipsis... it's cool with me... I never know when to end a sentence either...
... and multiple exclamation points and question marks?????? I like 'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But don't get me started on how to use punctuation within quotes that are within other quotes, that have sentences with dashes and semi-colons that contain lists... my editor beat me up about that stuff so much I got "cauliflower ear."

More rules of proper typer-ing:
Thou shalt not use ellipses unless thine hast been pouring out ones soul in a personal memoir and cannot thinketh of what to say next... or maybe because... one cannot-eth really know how to finish a sentence... eth...
Thou shalt not use parenthesis [or brackets] in more than one sentence in a paragraph (or block of writing) and certainly not more than one time (or maybe two at most) in a single sentence, unless thou desireth to look schizophrenic (or a little crazy-eth).
Thou shalt never use all UPPER CASE LETTERS IN A SENTENCE unless thy wanteth to be puncheth in thine faceth because it looketh as thou art screaming!!!!!
Speaking of screaming, thou shalt never need more than one question mark or exclamation point to do its jobeth!!! Why dost thou needeth more than one to make thine pointeth?????

Confuzzeldim and Crazyguy, thanks so much for the kind words.
Clarity, as always, I appreciate your support with both of my books. It's people like you that have given me the encouragement to complete this second project.
In the end, we ex-JWs should always find ways of supporting and encouraging each other.

TableForOne - Thanks for the "faith" in me.

I have to say, I'm a bit nervous about what my very first review will look like. I can only hope it's from a fan.

Village Idiot - I thought about putting the cuddly animals in my picture of paradise, but I didn't want to totally rip off the Watch Tower people. Besides, once I went there, I'd have to show couples with baskets of fruit, and waterfalls, etc. and that was too hard for my cover artist to do. Besides, if even if I did all those things, non-JWs who might want to read the book would be saying to themselves, "What the *@%#! is that all about?" and then run for the hills.
3rdgen - Yes, my "baby" does have my voice and my eyes... poor thing. I hope it will grow up to have a nice personality though...
Muddy Waters, NewYork44M - thanks so much for the well wishes. Appreciated greatly.
BlackFalcon98 - You are welcome. The fun I've had with "Journey" encouraged me to continue with "Escape." It's been readers like you (and those on this post) all that have made writing so satisfying.
I'd also like to thank Simon for administering the best JW / ex-JW site in the world. Without this site, there wouldn't be either book.
